We are a non profit organization that provides free weekly community support circles for people who are experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and addiction. Our focus are on breaking the silence and to provide daily access to safe support. We educate that stress and anxiety are organic feedback that are life positive, as we share our stories of lived experience and our solutions.
OUR OBJECTIVES ARE:
- To educate what is a safe circle of trust, to raise public awareness, and to eliminate negative stigma so no-one have to suffer in silence and alone.
- To provide and create awareness as to the availability of safe, free, and weekly support spaces facilitated by experienced counselors.
- To create awareness as to how shame and stigma maintains a lack of safe access to meaningful and valued participation in our communities.
OUR PROGRAM:
Our program educates a psychosomatic approach to healing and personal development as it views “neurosis” as a positive constructive feedback from the whole psychosomatic organism, rather than as pathology. “All neurosis” are healthy dissonance from developmental stress and essential for reintegration and maturation.
‘At home in the dark’ develops the confidence and motivation of the person who suffers to better realize their inner resource and strength, as it provides the understanding and daily emotional support to empower their own health.
This weekly free access to support has a beneficial effect on psychological health and mitigates the negative effect of stress on physical health and creative productivity as it addresses and clears self doubt, negative perceptions and assumptions, cultured blind spots, and stigmatization.
Our aim is to enhance and extend these safe, unbiased, and unobtrusive lounge spaces to all who suffers alone and in silence.
